Trailer GPS

Trailer GPS. On the same map as your tractor units.

Trailers and semi-trailers move between tractor units, yards and customers. With a compatible GPS device fitted to the trailer, you find it on the same map as your vehicles, with the latest position received, its history and alerts for the areas that matter.

BUILT FOR THE EVERYDAY

The details that make a difference.

01

Where every trailer is.

Latest position received and movement history for every trailer, with trailers gathered in a group separate from the tractor units.

02

Yards and customers.

Draw areas around depots, yards and customer sites and get notified when a trailer enters or leaves.

03

Movements worth checking.

With devices that detect motion you can get an alert when a trailer moves; with devices wired to the power supply, when the voltage drops below the threshold you set.

CHOOSING THE DEVICE

Wired or battery-powered. Choose by how it is used.

A trailer is not always hitched to a tractor unit and does not always have power available. A device wired to the trailer’s electrical system and a battery-powered asset tracker meet different needs: compare battery life at the reporting frequency you need, mounting and resistance to the environment.

  1. 01

    Describe the trailers

Tell us how many there are, how they are used and how long they stay unhitched.

  2. 02

    Choose the device

We assess compatible devices, installation and a reporting frequency suited to your use.

  3. 03

    Set areas and alerts

Add yards and customer sites and choose who receives the notifications.

A CLOSER LOOK

Good questions.
Clear answers.

Ask about your setup
Does a trailer GPS have to be connected to the tractor unit?

No. It depends on the device: a wired one is powered by the trailer’s electrical system, which usually receives power only when hitched; a battery-powered tracker also works when the trailer is unhitched, with a battery life that depends on how often it sends its position.

How long does the battery last?

It depends on the model, the reporting frequency and the conditions of use. We do not quote generic battery life: we assess it for your use before you choose.

Can I see trailers and vehicles together?

Yes. Trailers appear on the same map and in the same history as the vehicles, and you can keep them in a separate group.

Can I use a GPS device I already have?

Send us the model: compatibility depends on the protocol and we check it before activation.
